Pamela called in from Cuba with a good report on the mission trip. Still praying that return travel plans on Friday will work out. They are not allowed to fly through Mexico, so they may have to either charter a plane back to the States, or fly through another country.

I got a surprise phone call from Pamela, who is in Cuba on a mission trip with a group from her church. She's had a chance to work with children in VBS as well as some of the ladies at the church. She asked us to pray for a safe return home on Friday. With the swine flu problem in Mexico, they may have to find a different route back to the US.

Christian comedian, Kim Coleman, talked with me in regards to her upcoming event in Montgomery. On Thursday, April 30, she will be the featured speaker at First Baptist Church's First Friendship Dinner presented by the Women's ministry. Pamela is out of the studio this week. In fact, she's out of the country! Last Thursday, Pamela and a group of people from her church went on a mission trip to Cuba. Today she gave me a call to let us know they made it to Cuba safely and have had a good start to their week there. On Sunday, they had over 70 children in Sunday School. Pamela said that they are looking forward to a great week of teaching the children in VBS as well as mentoring and teaching the women of the church.

Today Melanie from Shorter, AL shared that each morning she and her children turn off the radio at a particular stoplight and have a time of prayer to start off the day! It's such a habit now that if she forgets, her children make sure she follows through!
